20 Easy to Follow Steps to Cast on with your Brother KG 95 Garter Carriage on your Brother KH 950i Electronic knitting machine

Step 1

• Plug the Kg 95 Power Adaptor to wall Socket and then place it securely behind the knitting machine.

Step 2

• Connect KG 95 Yarn sensor to the KH 950i yarn tension unit.

Step 3

• Thread the yarn through the yarn sensor and clip the yarn under the yarn clip.

Step 4

• Switch ON your Brother KH 950i knitting machine

Step 5

• Bring KG 95 Garter Carriage from outside the Right marker of the KH 950i knitting machine and sit it properly on the knitting machine bed.

Step 6

• Check the KG 95 Garter carriage for a G-carriage needle, if required insert one.

Step 7

• Thread yarn through your Brother KG 95 Garter carriage
• Push all 3 levers on KG 95 to right side.

Step 8

• Plug the power cable into the KG 95 and turn the row counter (on KG95) clockwise to achieve 0 0 1 .

Step 9

• Using Flat end of your needle pusher bring needles forward to B position.

Step 10

• For needles in B position check, closely inspect that all needle latches are open, if required open any closed needle latches using the "Latchet tool" from your Brother KH 950i knitting machine accessory box. (This step will save you drop stitch hassle)

Step 11
Using Page 13 of KG 95 instruction book we are going to Program Kh 950i console for 1st row of Garter Stitch

• When "Ready green lamp is ON" Press 990
• Press M
• Press M
• Press 901
• Press M
• Keep Pressing M until Ready green lamp lit

Step 12

• Press Green Button on KG 95 to switch it ON.
• Let it go past all the needles in B Position.

Step 13

• Once Garter Carriage passes all the needles in B position "Press Red Button" to STOP.

Step 14

• Hang cast on comb.

Step 15

• Using Stitchworld book select the Garter Stitch Pattern you want to knit.

Using Page 17 of KG 95 instruction book we are going to Program Kh 950i console for our desired Garter Stitch pattern. In the above video example I am knitting Garter Stitch Pattern 547:

• When "Ready green lamp is ON" Press 990
• Press M
• Push all Pattern Variations to lower position
• Push Pattern Selector to lower position
• Press M
• Press 547 (This is when you add your desired Garter Stitch Pattern)
• Press M
• Press CF

Step 17

• Set Gater Carriage Row Counter (In above example I want my garter carriage to automatically stop after 50 rows so I have set row counter as: 0 5 0 )

Step 18
Set Levers on your Garter carriage as:

• Top Lever "LEFT" side
• Middle Lever "LEFT" side
• Botton Lever "RIGHT" side

Step 19
We are now already to knit

• Press Green Button on KG 95 to start  (It will automatically stop after your set rows)

Step 20
By now your Garter carriage has knitted all the rows and stopped automatically. Now to take the garment of the knitting machine (i.e) Cast OFF we do:

• Cut the yarn from above KG 95 and take the excess yarn from underneath the KG 95 so it runs empty.
• Set Garter Carriage row counter to 1 row ( 0 0 1 ).
• Press Green ON Button
• Hold your Garment gently.

Once KG 95 passes all needles in B position it will automatically stop and you will have your garment off the machine.
